1.1 Overview. Welcome to Mixer.Live ("Mixer.Live," "we," "us," or "our"). Mixer.Live is a live streaming platform where users can broadcast, watch, and interact with live content. This Privacy Policy ("Policy") explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you access or use the Mixer.Live platform, including our website, applications,and all related services (collectively, the "Services").
1.3 Scope. This Policy applies to all users of Mixer.Live, including viewers, broadcasters (content creators), and any other visitors to the platform. It covers information collected through the Services, including account registration, streaming activity, chat interactions, donation records, and all associated data.
1.4 Companion Documents. This Privacy Policy should be read in conjunction with the Mixer.Live Terms of Service, which governs your use of the platform. In the event of any conflict between this Policy and the Terms of Service regarding data practices, this Policy shall control.
2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
We collect several categories of information to provide, maintain, and improve the Services. The types of information we collect depend on how you interact with Mixer.Live.2.1 Information You Provide Directly
2.1.1 Account Registration Data. When you create a Mixer.Live account, we collect: • Username • Email address • Password (stored in encrypted/hashed form) • Date of birth (to verify age eligibility) 2.1.2 Profile Information. Any additional information you voluntarily add to your profile, including but not limited to profile pictures, biography text, social media links, and display name preferences. 2.1.3 Stream Data and Metadata. If you broadcast on Mixer.Live, we collect information associated with your streams, including stream titles, category selections, stream duration, viewer counts, and any content you broadcast. We also issue and store stream keys, which are unique credentials that authenticate your broadcasting software with our servers. 2.1.4 Chat Messages. Messages you send in stream chat rooms, including text content, timestamps, and associated metadata. Chat messages may be stored for moderation and safety purposes. 2.1.5 Donation Transaction Records. We maintain records of donation transactions that occur through the platform, including the donors username, the recipient (either Mixer.Live or a content creator), the amount, and the date and time of the transaction. Important: Mixer.Live does not directly process payment information for creator donations. Actual payment data (such as credit card numbers, bank account details, or PayPal credentials) is collected and processed by our third-party payment processors, PayPal and StreamElements, subject to their respective privacy policies. 2.1.6 Communications. Any correspondence you send to us, including support requests, feedback, and reports submitted through the platform. 2.2 Information Collected Automatically 2.2.1 Device and Browser Information. We automatically collect information about the device and browser you use to access Mixer.Live, including device type, operating system, browser type and version, screen resolution, and language preferences. 2.2.2 IP Addresses. We collect your Internet Protocol (IP) address when you access the Services. IP addresses may be used for security purposes, geographic analytics, and to help diagnose technical issues. 2.2.3 Cookies and Similar Technologies. We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to collect information about your interactions with the Services. See 5 (Cookies & Tracking Technologies) for detailed information. 2.2.4 Usage Analytics. We collect data about how you use the Services, including pages visited, streams watched, features used, time spent on the platform, click patterns, search queries, and referring URLs. 2.3 Information from Third Parties 2.3.1 RAWG.io Game Data. We use the RAWG.io API to retrieve game category information (such as game titles, descriptions, cover art, and genre classifications) to help categorize streams on the platform. This data pertains to games and does not include personal information about our users.
3. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We use the information we collect for the following purposes: 3.1 Providing and Improving the Services. To operate, maintain, and enhance Mixer.Live, including delivering live streaming functionality, processing site donations, enabling chat features, and developing new features and functionality. 3.2 Account Management. To create and manage your account, authenticate your identity, issue and manage stream keys for broadcasters, and maintain account security. 3.3 Moderation and Safety. To enforce our Terms of Service and Community Guidelines, detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or other harmful activity, moderate chat content, and maintain a safe environment for all users. 3.4 Analytics. To analyze usage trends, measure the effectiveness of features, understand user preferences, and generate aggregate, non-personally-identifiable reports to improve the Services. 3.5 Marketing and Promotional Use of Content. Mixer.Live may use content uploaded or broadcast by usersincluding stream clips, highlights,and associated usernamesfor marketing, promotional, and advertising purposes. When we use your content in this manner, we will provide credit to you as the creator. You may opt out of this marketing use at any time through your account settings dashboard. Opting out will apply to future uses of your content; content already distributed prior to your opt-out may remain in circulation for a reasonable wind-down period. 3.6 Communications. To send you service-related notices (such as account verification, security alerts, and policy updates), respond to your inquiries and support requests, and, where permitted, send promotional communications. You may opt out of promotional communications at any time. 3.7 Legal Compliance. To comply with applicable laws, regulations, and legal processes, to respond to lawful requests from public authorities, and to protect the rights, property, and safety of Mixer.Live, our users, and the public.
4. INFORMATION SHARING & THIRD PARTIES
Important Notice
Mixer.Live does NOT sell your personal data to third parties. We do not rent, trade, or otherwise commercially transfer your personally identifiable information to outside parties for their marketing purposes. We may share your information only in the following limited circumstances: 4.1 RAWG.io. We transmit API requests to RAWG.io to retrieve game category data for stream categorization. These requests may include technical information such as API keys and request metadata but do not include your personal information. RAWG.ios use of data is governed by its own privacy policy. 4.2 PayPal. PayPal serves as a third-party payment processor for donations on Mixer.Live. When you make a site donation to Mixer.Live or a donation to a content creator through PayPal, your payment information is collected and processed directly by PayPal. Mixer.Live does not have access to your full payment credentials. PayPals collection and use of your data is governed by PayPals own Privacy Policy. Mixer.Live does not directly handle money for creator donationsthose transactions flow entirely through PayPal. 4.3 StreamElements. StreamElements serves as an additional third-party processor for creator donations. As with PayPal, when donations to content creators are processed through StreamElements, the payment data is handled by StreamElements directly. Mixer.Live does not access or store your payment credentials from StreamElements transactions. StreamElements data practices are governed by its own privacy policy. Mixer.Live does not directly handle money for creator donations those transactions flow entirely through StreamElements. 4.4 Creator Donations -- Clarification. Mixer.Live does not pay or compensate content creators. All creator donations are voluntary, viewer-initiated contributions that are processed entirely through third-party services (PayPal and/or StreamElements). Mixer.Live acts solely as a facilitator by providing the interface through which viewers may choose to donate. We do not take a cut of, process, or otherwise handle the funds associated with creator donations. 4.5 Law Enforcement and Legal Requests. We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, or if we believe in good faith that such disclosure is necessary to: (a) comply with a legal obligation, court order, subpoena, or other legal process; (b) protect and defend the rights, property, or safety of Mixer.Live, our users, or the public; (c) detect, prevent, or address fraud, security, or technical issues; or (d) enforce our Terms of Service. 4.6 Business Transfers. In the event that Mixer.Live is involved in a merger, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of all or a portion of its assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email and/or a prominent notice on the platform of any change in ownership or uses of your personal information, as well as any choices you may have regarding your information. 4.7 Aggregate and De-Identified Data. We may share aggregate or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be used to identify you, for purposes including industry analysis, research, and platform improvement.
5. COOKIES & TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES
5.1 What Are Cookies. Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help us recognize your device, remember your preferences, and understand how you interact with the Services. 5.2 Types of Cookies We Use.

6. DATA RETENTION
6.1 General Retention Period. We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the Services. We also retain information as necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, and for legitimate business purposes.
6.2 Specific Retention Periods.
• Account Data: Retained for the duration of your account's existence, plus up to 30 days after deletion to process the request.
• Chat Messages: Permanently recorded and linked to the VOD (Video on Demand) recording of the stream in which they were sent. Chat messages are retained for as long as the associated VOD exists. When a VOD is deleted whether by the Content Creator, by Mixer.Live, or as a result of account deletion all chat messages linked to that VOD are permanently deleted along with it.
• Stream Metadata: Retained for the duration of your account's existence to maintain your channel history and analytics.
• Donation Transaction Records: Retained for a minimum of 7 years to comply with financial record-keeping obligations and applicable tax laws.
• Usage and Analytics Data: Retained in identifiable form for up to 24 months, after which it is aggregated or anonymized.
• IP Addresses and Security Logs: Retained for up to 12 months for security and fraud-prevention purposes.
6.3 Account Deletion. When you request deletion of your account:
• Your profile information, stream keys, and account credentials will be permanently deleted within 30 days of your request.
• Your username may be retained in a reserved list to prevent impersonation.
• Chat messages linked to your VODs will be permanently deleted when your VODs are removed as part of the account deletion process.
• Donation transaction records will be retained as required by law (see §6.2) but will be disassociated from your personal identity to the extent practicable.
• Aggregate or de-identified data derived from your use of the Services may be retained indefinitely.
7. DATA SECURITY
7.1 Security Measures. Mixer.Live implements reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. These measures include, but are not limited to: • Encryption of data in transit using TLS/SSL protocols • Hashing and salting of passwords • Regular security assessments and vulnerability testing • Access controls limiting employee access to personal information on a need-to-know basis • Monitoring for suspicious activity and unauthorized access attempts 7.2 No Absolute Guarantee. While we strive to protect your personal information, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee the absolute security of your data. You use the Services and transmit information to us at your own risk. 7.3 Stream Key Confidentiality. Your stream key is a sensitive credential that grants access to broadcast on your channel. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your stream key. Do not share your stream key with anyone. If you believe your stream key has been compromised, you should regenerate it immediately through your account settings. Mixer.Live is not responsible for unauthorized broadcasts resulting from a compromised stream key. 7.4 Breach Notification. In the event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you in accordance with applicable law. Notification may be provided via email, platform notification, or prominent posting on the Mixer.Live website, depending on the nature and scope of the breach.
8. CHILDRENS PRIVACY (COPPA COMPLIANCE)
Age Requirement
Mixer.Live requires all users to be at least 13 years of age to create an account or use the Services. Users between the ages of 13 and 17 must have verifiable parental or guardian consent before creating an account. 8.1 No Collection from Children Under 13. Mixer.Live does not knowingly collect, use, or disclose personal information from children under the age of 13. The Services are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly allow individuals under 13 to register for or use the platform. 8.2 Age Verification. During account registration, we require all users to provide their date of birth. If the date of birth provided indicates that the individual is under 13 years of age, the registration will be declined and no personal information will be retained from that registration attempt. 8.3 Users Ages 13-17 (Minors). Users between 13 and 17 years of age may use the Services only with the consent and ongoing supervision of a parent or legal guardian. The parent or guardian agrees to be bound by this Policy and the Terms of Service on behalf of the minor. Parents and guardians are responsible for monitoring their minors activity on the platform. 8.4 Parental Rights. Parents or guardians of minors who use Mixer.Live have the right to: • Review the personal information collected from their child • Request deletion of their childs personal information • Refuse to permit further collection or use of their childs information • Request that their childs account be terminated To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at privacy@mixer.live. 8.5 Reporting Underage Users. If you believe that a user on Mixer.Live is under the age of 13, or that a user between 13 and 17 is using the platform without parental consent, please report this immediately by emailing privacy@mixer.live with the subject line Underage User Report. We will investigate all such reports promptly and take appropriate action, which may include suspending or terminating the account and deleting any associated personal information. 8.6 Inadvertent Collection. If we discover that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take immediate steps to delete that information from our systems and terminate the associated account.
9. YOUR RIGHTS & CHOICES
9.1 Access and Portability. You have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you. Upon a verified request, we will provide you with a copy of your data in a commonly used, machine-readable format where technically feasible. 9.2 Correction. You have the right to request correction of inaccurate personal information. You may update much of your information directly through your account settings. For corrections that cannot be made through the settings dashboard, please contact us at privacy@mixer.live. 9.3 Deletion. You have the right to request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain exceptions (such as data we are legally required to retain). You may initiate account deletion through your account settings or by contacting privacy@mixer.live. Please refer to 6.3 for details on what happens when your account is deleted. 9.4 Opt-Out of Marketing Content Use. You may opt out of Mixer.Lives use of your uploaded or broadcast content for marketing purposes at any time through your account settings dashboard. Navigate to Settings > Privacy > Marketing Preferences to manage this preference. Opting out will not affect any non-marketing uses of your content as described in the Terms of Service. 9.5 Cookie Preferences. You may manage your cookie preferences as described in 5.4 of this Policy. 9.6 Promotional Communications. You may opt out of receiving promotional emails from Mixer.Live by clicking the Unsubscribe link included in each promotional email, or by adjusting your notification preferences in your account settings. Note that you may not opt out of service-related communications (such as security alerts and policy updates). 9.7 California ResidentsCCPA Rights. If you are a California resident, you may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including: • Right to Know: The right to request information about the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources of that information, the purposes for collection, and the categories of third parties with whom we share it. • Right to Delete: The right to request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain exceptions. • Right to Non-Discrimination: The right not to be discriminated against for exercising your CCPA rights. • No Sale of Personal Information: Mixer.Live does not sell personal information. Therefore, we do not offer an opt-out of the sale of personal information. To exercise your CCPA rights, please contact privacy@mixer.live or legal@mixer.live. We will verify your identity before processing your request. 9.8 EU/EEA ResidentsGDPR Rights. If you are located in the European Union or European Economic Area, you may have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including: • Right of Access: The right to obtain confirmation of whether we process your personal data and to access that data. • Right to Rectification: The right to correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data. • Right to Erasure: The right to request erasure of your personal data under certain conditions. • Right to Restriction: The right to request restriction of processing of your personal data under certain conditions. • Right to Data Portability: The right to receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format. • Right to Object: The right to object to processing of your personal data for certain purposes, including direct marketing. • Right to Withdraw Consent: Where processing is based on your consent, the right to withdraw that consent at any time.To exercise your GDPR rights, please contact privacy@mixer.live. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. 9.9 Response Timeline. We will respond to all verified rights requests within 30 days. If we require additional time (up to a further 60 days), we will notify you of the extension and the reasons for the delay.
10. THIRD-PARTY LINKS & SERVICES
10.1 Third-Party Links. The Services may contain links to third-party websites, applications, or services that are not owned or controlled by Mixer.Live. These links are provided for your convenience and do not imply our endorsement of, or affiliation with, the linked site or service. 10.2 Embedded Content. Streams, chat messages, and user profiles on Mixer.Live may contain embedded content from third-party sources, including links to external websites, social media profiles, and other platforms. Interaction with such embedded content may allow third parties to collect data about you. 10.3 Third-Party Privacy Practices. Mixer.Live is not responsible for the privacy practices, content, or security of any third-party websites or services, including but not limited to PayPal, StreamElements, and RAWG.io. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you interact with through or in connection with the platform. 10.4 Third-Party Donation Processors. As described in 4, creator donations are processed entirely through PayPal and/or StreamElements. When you interact with these services, you are subject to their terms and privacy policies. Mixer.Live has no control over and assumes no responsibility for the data practices of these third-party processors.
11. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
11.1 Right to Modify. Mixer.Live reserves the right to update or modify this Privacy Policy at any time at our sole discretion. Changes may be made to reflect updates to our data practices, changes in applicable law, or improvements to the Services. 11.2 Notification of Changes. When we make material changes to this Policy, we will notify you through one or more of the following methods: • Posting the updated Policy on the Mixer.Live website with a revised Last Updated date • Sending an email notification to the address associated with your account • Displaying a prominent notice or banner on the platform 11.3 Acceptance of Changes. Your continued use of the Services after the effective date of any revised Privacy Policy constitutes your acceptance of and agreement to the updated terms. If you do not agree to the revised Policy, you must discontinue use of the Services and may request deletion of your account as described in 9.3. 11.4 Review Recommendation. We encourage you to periodically review this Policy to stay informed about how we collect, use, and protect your information.
